Concrete, Walkways & Steps

Concrete & Steps for Joplin-Area Homes

Concrete is only as good as what is under it. We form every walkway and landing on compacted base, set the slope so water runs off, and finish the surface for traction, whether that is a long sidewalk on new construction or a front walk on a 1940s house.

Steps are where masonry and concrete meet. We build brick and stone steps on solid concrete footings, with chiseled stone treads and brick risers that make an entry look intentional.

Serving: Joplin, Webb City, Carthage, Carl Junction, Neosho, Duenweg and the Four State Area of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. See all service areas.

What customers say

  • Needed my retaining wall replaced. Spoke with Chris and he came right out. Did an absolutely amazing job, talked me through the process and had excellent communication with me. He had ideas of how to update the stairs and provided options. This was a great experience and the wall and stairs never looked better. For a reasonable price and the peace of mind of someone that keeps you in the loop of what they are doing, there is no better.

FAQ

Concrete & Steps: Common Questions

Have a question that is not here? Call (417) 438-4330.

Why does concrete crack?

All concrete shrinks as it cures, which is why control joints are cut to tell it where to crack. Cracks beyond that usually come from a poor base, water underneath, or heavy loads. A compacted base and good drainage prevent most of it.

How soon can we walk on new concrete?

Foot traffic is usually fine after a day or two, depending on the weather. We will tell you when it is ready for heavier use.

Can you replace just my front steps?

Yes. Step replacement is one of our most common jobs, whether you want concrete steps or brick and stone.
