Chimney Repair for Joplin-Area Homes

A chimney takes more weather than any other part of the house. Rain soaks the crown, freeze-thaw cycles pop mortar out of the joints, and once water gets in, brick spalls and stone loosens. Left alone, a small crown crack becomes a leaning, leaking chimney.

We work from lifts and scaffolding to repair chimneys properly: tuckpointing failing joints, rebuilding damaged sections from the roofline up, pouring new crowns, setting stone caps and covers, and making sure the flashing sheds water instead of funneling it inside.

Serving: Joplin, Webb City, Carthage, Carl Junction, Neosho, Duenweg and the Four State Area of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. See all service areas.

What customers say

  • We live in Granby MO, had a house fire in October and our home had to be entirely gutted. The demo crew mistakenly ripped our fireplace out during the demo process. CM Home Remedies rebuilt our fireplace and did a fantastic job! The details he added in are just awesome. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing any type of masonry work or home improvements.

FAQ

Chimney Repair: Common Questions

Have a question that is not here? Call (417) 438-4330.

What is a chimney crown and why does it matter?

The crown is the concrete slab on top of the chimney around the flue. It is the chimney’s roof. When it cracks, water runs straight down into the masonry, which is one of the most common causes of chimney damage.

Do you do chimney sweeping or inspections of the flue?

We focus on the masonry: brick, stone, mortar, crowns, caps and flashing. For sweeping and flue inspections, a certified chimney sweep is the right call.

Can you repair a stone chimney without making it look patched?

Yes. We reset loose stones, source matching stone where needed, and tint mortar so repairs blend with the rest of the chimney.
